Huh…Sony is listening to its fans… That’s…different.
The PS Vita TV, or Playstation TV as it’s being called in the west will debut in the Fall in two flavors. There’ll be a vanilla version for $99 that comes with nothing but the device, and a bundle for $139 that comes with a controller, an hdmi cable, an 8gb PS Vita memory card and a digital voucher for the Lego Movie game.
The Playstation TV will be capable of streaming Playstation Now content as well as playing PS Vita physical/digital titles, PS1 classics and PSP games. Over 1000 titles will be available at launch.
Now, let’s hope this makes more developers make Vita games. Speaking of the Vita, it’s a crying shame that Sony chose to drop the Vita moniker, as well as ignore it during their press conference. More and more it’s beginning to look like Sony just might want to pretend the Vita never happened.
